Jacob A. Pfeiffer - 'Nesting', 2012, Oil on panel, 8 x 8 inches
Artist-curator Tony Curanaj has gathered an exciting group of contemporary realist artists for the exhibition Resolve. The gallery has received an impressive amount of visitors since the opening and continues to do so on a daily basis. We are very appreciative for the attention this show has garnered and would like to share some of the wonderful things people have been saying. Many thanks and congratulations to everyone involved—we appreciate the opportunity to exhibit such a talented group of artists.
The Epoch Times - “Chelsea Art Exhibit Brings Realism to Mainstream” (PDF) by Katy Mantyk: "Garnering a lot of attention and museum-like foot traffic, an atypical art exhibit in Chelsea celebrates a side of contemporary art that is out of the limelight but is quietly but surely gaining strength."
Fine Art Connoisseur - “Something Fresh in Chelsea” (PDF): "Joshua Liner Gallery is presenting Resolve, an exhibition of 25 emerging and established artists whose work is rooted in classical art traditions and training."
The Second Hanging - Resolve Exhibition Curated by Tony Curanaj (PDF): "Unique in recent shows, there are no weak pieces."
Cool Hunting - An Artist-curated Group Show Redefines Contemporary Realism (PDF)) by Karen Day: "There's a misconception that Realism isn't conceptual," (Curanaj) says. "I think Realism is of the highest, utmost conceptual ideas because you're continuously conceptualizing what's in front of you and putting it down as notes and feelings, trying to depict what is life, what is reality."
