Pema Rinzin at the Rubin Museum of Art

Currently on view through October 18th at the Rubin Museum of Art is 'Tradition Transformed: Tibetan Artists Respond' featuring gallery artist Pema Rinzin and eight other Tibetan artists. The exhibition marks the first time contemporary Tibetan works have been displayed in a museum setting in New York City. Three large canvas works created with ground mineral pigments and gold are displayed in this exhibit. Rinzin, who was an artist in residence at the Rubin Museum of Art from November 2005 through October 2008, will be giving a guided interpretation of his works at the museum on July 16th. Joshua Liner Gallery will be featuring new works from Rinzin in our August group exhibit.
