Last Thursday, May 7, we celebrated the opening receptions for Evan Hecox's Far and Erin M. Riley's Darkness Lies Ahead. With the warm weather here to stay, it almost felt like we were living in one of Hecox's scenes from the Mojave Desert. Over the years Hecox has exhibited with the gallery, the artist's eclectic style and flair for imagination never cease to marvel. Erin M. Riley's handwoven tapestries are even more impressive in situ. The artist recently acquired a two-person floor loom, of which she operates entirely by herself. The work produced for Riley's exhibition is the artist's largest to-date, reaching over eight feet wide. Thank you to all who joined us in celebrating these two wonderful exhibitions. Please enjoy these opening photos!
