Last Thursday evening, we celebrated the third installment of our annual Summer Mixer group exhibition. Showing with us for the first time, the gallery presented work from Antonio Adriano Puleo, Daniel Joseph, Elise Ferguson, Eric Shaw, and Michael Swaney, while Kristen Schiele, Libby Black and Mario Martinez (Mars-1) made a return to the space with new works. Ranging from painting to mixed media works, to sculptures and installation, the artists cover an extensive and colorful ground. Thank you to everyone who joined us for the reception, enjoy these opening photos! |  Photos »

For their second episode of Table Talk, Monster Children paid a visit to Geoff McFetridge's studio in Los Angeles. In this fun little clip, Geoff discusses his rise to prominence as an artist and graphic designer, and his creative process behind his sketches and paintings. You'll be able to see more of Mr. McFetridge's work in his solo exhibition opening with the gallery in September this year.

Last Friday, Wayne White and his son Woodrow White opened their first exhibition together, Ass Kicking Contest, at San Francisco's Heron Arts. Poking fun at the idea of a father-son exhibition, Ass Kicking Contest showcases White's large-scale Boot Puller puppet (shown earlier this year at Art on Paper), as well as brand new word paintings, while Woodrow debuts new works on canvas humorously featuring gorilla shoes and Bigfoot staring at a smartphone. Ass Kicking Contest is on view at Heron Arts through to August 8, and open to the public by appointment. Enjoy this review of the exhibition from SF Gate.
