L’Artiste Interviews Tony Curanaj

"Once I know what I want, I set it up carefully and start drawing until I have a good drawing that i transfer to canvas. I do color and value studies or sometimes close up studies of parts of the painting. Those are essentially “notes” I use to go into the final painting. Then I just paint." Tony Curanaj recently spoke to L'Artiste about the process behind his work, what he has learnt from his career and advice he would give to young artists pursuing painting. Enjoy the interview!

Artsy Chat to Wayne White about ‘Invisible Ruler’

"The framed prints, usually found in thrift stores, are empty stages for my typographic dramas. I began this series 14 years ago as a spur-of-the-moment joke. Art is funny that way. It sneaks up on you in unlikely ways." Enjoy this wonderful editorial from Artsy on Wayne White's 'Invisible Ruler'.
