David Ellis collaborates with Sephora on Lenticular Mural

David Ellis in collaboration with Maya Hayuk, SASU and Yuri Shimojo—three female members of the Barnstormers, a group formed in 1999 comprised of 25 artists—have come together to create to create "Transforming Beauty", a lenticular mural commissioned by the international beauty retailer Sephora. Ellis has also directed a 3D film depicting a time-lapse creation of the artwork with cinematographer Christopher Keohane.
Colab Projects produced both the lenticular mural and 3D film. The film debuts at the grand opening of their Sephora's newest store in New York City's Meatpacking district on September 16th.

2011 Summer Group Show Opening Photos
This past Thursday, August 4th marked the opening reception for our annual Summer Group Exhibition. Artists featured in the exhibit include Cameron Gray, Chloe Early, Damon Soule, Dave Kinsey, David Ellis, Evan Hecox, Evelyn Rydz, Greg Lamarche, Herbert Baglione, Oliver Vernon, Pema Rinzin, Ryan McLennan, Shawn Barber, Stephen Powers, Tiffany Bozic, Tomokazu Matsuyama and Tony Curanaj.
