Cameron Gray uses the Internet as source material to both inspire and create his artwork. He also uses it in the production process to create his work employing a global team of assistants. The artist states “my digital studies are created from the detritus gathered during my many hours on the Internet. I equate the searching for images online to Rauschenberg’s daily walks around the block and finding the objects and images to use in the art made that day.” His work was included in the 2010 exhibition “Convection” at the Dafen Art Museum in Shenzhen, China. Cameron is also featured in the forthcoming books “Go West: Cutting-Edge Creative in the United States” and “Skulls in Contemporary Art” to be published by DAAB later this year. Cameron lives and works in Los Angeles, CA. His solo show “Birth of A Legend” opens in Los Angeles, September 2011.
